The Faculty develops active contacts with Universities of Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain etc. The Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences takes part in the work of international programs "Tempus", "Erasmus Mundus", "Copernicus" etc. Graduates of the Department get qualification "Specialist in information and communication. The main specializations at the Department of Social Communication (social technologies and education) are: information and communication in organizations, information and communication in systems of mass behavior. Graduates of the Department get qualification "Psychologist. The main specializations at the Department of Psychology are: social psychology and medical psychology. Graduates of the Department get qualification "Sociologist. The main specializations at the Department of Sociology are: theoretical sociology, methodology of social research, sociology of management. Philosophy and social sciences lecturer". Graduates of the Department get qualification "Philosopher. The main specializations at the Department of Philosophy are: social philosophy and history of philosophy. Scientific journals "Philosophy and social sciences", "Sociology" are published.
Over 70 magisters, post-graduates and doctorates are prepared on Faculty.ģ Academic Councils with a right to award degrees in "Philosophy", "Sociology", "Psychology" work on faculty. Over 1500 students are currently studying on Faculty in specialties "Philosophy", "Sociology", "Psychology", "Information and Communication". Over 150 members work on faculty, among them: Academician and 2 corresponding members (National Academy of Sciences of Belarus), 20 professors, over 60 associate professors, Ph. Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences consists of 5 departments (Department of Philosophy and Methodology of Science, Department of Philosophy of Culture, Department of Sociology, Department of Psychology, Department of Social Communication) and 3 laboratories. Minnesota State has named four finalists in the search for the next president of Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College: Allen Bedford, John Hoffman, Darrell Kruger and Karla Leeper.
